Suicide Rates by Age Range

Rates are highest among middle-aged adults (ages 35–64), while youth have lower rates but are disproportionately impacted because suicide is one of the leading causes of death in that group. Overall, these patterns highlight the need for targeted prevention strategies across the lifespan.
