The Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center in Century City is now providing Survivors After Suicide (SAS) Support Groups for teens (ages 13-17). All groups are held virtually via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The group is available for teens living in Los Angeles and Orange County California, ages 13 to 17, who have experienced the death of a loved one or friend by suicide and are grieving the suicide loss. There is no cost to participate at this time. Groups meet once a week or 90 minutes for 8-weeks in the evening. Groups are facilitated by two trained therapists with a specialty in bereavement after suicide. Each teen participant will interact with other teens, engage in creative coping skills, and receive emotional and therapeutic support from our therapists. - Exploring shared experiences
- Managing stress
- Coping with grief and change
- Interactive activities
