MN Kids Code

There is a growing body of evidence that connects suicidal ideation and suicide to young people’s engagement on social media. SAVE has joined a broad, bi-partisan coalition committed to passing the Minnesota Kids Code.

Share Your Story

This legislation would ensure that social media platforms, and the companies that own them, create products that are safe and protect kids, teens, and young adults online. More and more parents are sharing stories of how their children’s mental health has been negatively impacted by engagement on social media and that this negative impact has resulted in suicidal ideation and suicide. Although every single story is important, for the purpose of this specific legislation, we are looking for stories from Minnesota residents only. Thank you for your understanding.

Your story can help SAVE and others committed to passing the Minnesota Kids Code ensure that legislators understand that we must provide young people access to social media platforms that are safe, secure and free from threats to their mental health and lives.
