About

For more than 30 years SAVE has been at the forefront of suicide public awareness. SAVE has been part of published research on public service announcements about suicide, we have created the world’s only Certification program for safe messaging (www.savecertified.org), and our Executive Director is an internationally recognized expert conducting training and consultation on media, messaging and suicide campaigns. We have developed dozens of national campaigns that have been seen by millions of people across the country. Our national multimedia public service announcements can help you build awareness in your community through TV and radio ads, billboards, print ads, posters and digital banner ads.

In addition to our multimedia public service announcements that reach a broad audience of “gatekeepers,” we also provide suicide prevention awareness materials that are specific for teen, seniors, American Indian, adult men and adult women. Combined with our brochures, posters and other print resources that also target specific demographic groups, we offer low-cost, complete public awareness campaigns that can be easily implemented in support of suicide prevention in your community. Depending upon the target group, packages may include the following materials:

  • Brochures – Materials on suicide prevention and mental illness that are specific to the target group.
  • Posters – Raise awareness in schools, hospitals, clinics and other community settings.
  • Billboard Graphics – A great medium to reach the public 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
  • Print Ad Graphics – For distribution to newspapers, magazines and other print publications.
  • Classroom Curriculum – LEADS is an interactive, educational program designed for schools.

TV PSAs

The You Can Too and Adult Male 30-second TV PSAs are great public awareness tools for distribution to your local stations, cable systems and community access channels. PSA licenses are available for purchase.

Radio PSA

SAVE’s 15 and 30 second radio PSA are available digitally by download or on a CD for distribution to radio stations in your community. We like to track where our PSA’s are running throughout the country, please let us know where and how often the ads are running in your market.

Billboards

Pre-printed billboards are available for your organization to use in your local communities. Billboards are a great medium to reach the public 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Outdoor Advertising companies are very generous to donate the space rental of billboards they have available.

  • 30-sheet posters: $80 each (posters are made of paper and will withstand outdoor elements for 1-3 months)
  • 14′ x 48′ billboards: $1,050 each (vinyl billboards can last for 2 years or more)

You can also use the artwork to fit subway advertising, bus sides, bus benches, taxi tops, and other outdoor advertisements. To order sign graphics or for more information, call 952-946-7998 or email save@save.org.

Print PSAs

Print PSA’s are available in a variety of sizes that are suitable for newspapers, magazines and other print publications. You’ll receive a PDF that can be adjusted by the publisher to fit specific sizes. Click on a thumbnail to see a larger version. Doctor, firefighter and EMT photos are available for each ad size. PSAs can be resized for specific orders or customized to include local contact information for an additional cost.
