Journalist and Media Training

The media has the potential to negatively or positively influence behaviors of the general public. SAVE offers reporters, journalists, and other media personnel comprehensive training on how to responsibly cover the topic of suicide, minimizing the potential for harmful effects.

What Does Training Cover? 

Training for journalists and media professionals covers but is not limited to the topics listed below. Custom training and special topics are available upon request. Cost of training is based on travel expenses accrued by SAVE and a small speaker fee. An estimate is provided after the “Request A Training” form is submitted.
